The Science Behind Our Candles

I love our candles, every single scent we have is unique and captivating. Whether it be Watermelon, Blue Spruce, or Jamaica me Crazy, we have a scent for everyone. But where do we get our scents from? DireLights gets their candle scents and dyes from Candle Science, a company made for Candle Making Supplies. Candle science has a huge variety of scents available for people to buy and that is really helpful because we get many opportunities for new creative candles! Not only are candle science products diverse but they are also safe! When buying from candle science you are able to see the testing data and different safety things. When selling products with complex compounds, the company should have SDS sheets and IFRA certificates. SDS sheets list the chemical composition and safety handling, which matters if a customer has sensitivities. IFRA certification means the fragrance meets international safety standards for skin and contact with inhalation. Both of these things indicate that the products are safe to use and it explains in depth what we are putting in our candles. The testing data can be found for all of their products. There are burn lists, recommendations, and other things similar that saves our companies resources and time as they cut down on our trial-and-error batches! One of my favorite parts about Candle Science is their consistency. Their formulas are reliable and are very consistent which is very valuable towards our company because we want our candle to be high in quality and consistent for our customers. When customers ask what’s in our candles, we confidently point to these certifications instead of just saying “it's safe”. That transparency builds trust and sets us apart from companies that don’t disclose their ingredients.
